| I would submerge the line running from the refugium to the return section - might be injecting air there. Also check the union to be sure it's tight & not sucking air. Are there microbubbles in the sump or just the tank? If the tank then you definitely have some leak in the return line that is sucking air.

| i ran the over flow from the refugium to the drain side on the sump, the bubbles are in the sump that is what is bothering me, i wish there wasent any in there then i would know where it was coming from, ihad the skimmer off for a few days still there, put a filter sock on over flow lines, getting better now they are real small but still there i'm going to buy some live rock today and put it in the return line some at the bottom of the bubble trap and some around the return pump intake see if it helps, guy at the lfs told me that a freind had tryed that and it worked, keep your fingers crossed lol, if not watch world news tonight and you will see headline MAN LOST MIND OVER FISH TANK!!!!!![]() |

| Another thing you can look at is your pump and skimmer flow rates. Micro bubbles can be caused by pump cavitation which besides looking funky can destroy your impellers. Two things that will fix this is ensuring that the pump suction has enough water head over it. (More depth = more pressure + less cavitation) The other option is to reduce the flow on the discharge side of the pump and this cause the same pressure difference at the impeller. From what you describe, the protein skimmer may have a small role in it, so I would suggest cutting the flow there by 5-10% and if possible increasing the depth of the water at the suction of the pump. |

| here is a picture of the whole set up i built most of it,not the stand. 1400 pump on a wave maker, split in two one to a squid, one to a spray bar bottom rear. 700 return from sump. 70 lbs live rock 50 lbs live sand not much corals because of bubbles, toad stool, pulsating xzania doing good for now. fish not much yellow tang, tomato clown not doing so good has white dots all over him dont know what it is if you can help let me know what it is and how to help him, lawnmower ble blenny dont see him much.cleaner shrimp. picture looks like no bubbles but there is real small i also put live rock rubble in bubble trap and in sump return side seems to help mabe i wait and see what happens mabe expecting too much to fast |
