Default Bangaii Cardinal?

I was just wandering people's opinion on these guys. I think they are pretty cool and I want 2 but i was wandering if they are worth owning.

Thanks!

Dan

you will never find a cooler fish. They breed like rabbits if you feed them live food. And once you learn how to keep the babies alive you can sell them. The male keeps the young in his mouth until they can go on there own.It is dificult to tell there sex when they are small so I would recomend getting 3.They have nearly been harvested to extinction so you might have to get them from a local breeder.

I have read that they are nocturnal...I really want one but I am afraid of getting them and them not being out and around very much...I only can have so many fish, so should I use my fish room for these guys? I really need something that comes out and moves around....so far my african yellow belley blue tang is the only thing that is always out...so far I have...

Blue tang
Mandarin Dragonet
Foxface
Firefish
2 clowns...they kinda just hang out behind there rock with there stubborn anenome that wont come out front...

Thanks!

Thanks
Dan

Mine are out all the time. The pajama cardinal is supposed to be nocternal as well but its not. They are more active at night. but if you feed during the day they will learn to be out during the day. At least mine did.

I have one cleaner. I made sure that he was a big one so the cardinals left him alone. Yesterday the cleaner shrimp was cleaning one of the cardinals. They dont touch the corals. I dont think any of them do, I know they are known for liking the taste of shrimp though...

100 pounds or so of live rock...so it sounds like you at least think that it would be worth having 3 bangaii cardinals in my tank over something else...is that true?

Help!...I got 3 of these guys about a month ago now...I had them in QT for 3 weeks. Just put them in my display tank and in the qt tank it seemed like they were eating the msysis I was giving them, and even some Prime reef flakes, but now I can't get them to eat at all, they take a bite of the mysis and then just spit it out....any ideas on what I can feed them to get them to eat?

Thanks
Dan

Since you have a relatively young tank I would bet it is loaded with pods.If that is thew case you can bet they are eating well, and at night.Check out the tank after lights out with a red flash light.

I did not realize that they eat pods....that is good that they are eating, but bad that they are competing with my mandarin.....hmm, I wonder how much they would be worth in a trade, of the 3, 1 is being left out of the group....I guess I will trade him in since he is all alone anyway, I guess I will have to buy some more pods..

They are doing great! I like them...but I bought 3 so that they would pair off and one unfortunately is getting picked on. So I am going to trade in the left out one...but I like them.
