Default feeding softies and lps

i purchased some zooplankton a while ago for softie and lps coral. (i dont have any coral yet) on the back of the zooplankton bottle it says that i should feed 1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons daily. now is that for a tank stocked with coral? i might only have 1 coral in the tank for a while and that seems like a lot. also i read that people only feed their coral 2 maybe three times a week and the bottle says to feed daily.....im confused

thank you

My bottle reads that way to. I think they want you to use it up quick. But my corals seem to be doing fine being feed every 3 days. And then only half of what they say. May be if you have a real good skimmer to take it back out you could get away feeding like they say.

Zooplankton, phytoplex, nano plankton any kind of plankton can be tricky to dose.

Overdosing can lead to all sorts of problems especially pest algaes.

It is best to error on the safe side and dose half of what any bottle says. Watch your tank and go from there. If your flow and lighting are correct only little dosing is needed.

Your skimmer will take a lot of what plankton you dose out of the water rather quickly also.
