Still have a long way to go but I thought I'd ask you guys for some input on my design before I get too far...suggestions on changes, comments, etc. would be greatly appreciated...don't hold back, I could take it.

I would especially like your thoughts on the return splitting to the fuge.

Note: the overflow does not go through the fuge, it's just behind in the picture.

I'm not sure I understand the set up, are you saying the return splits and goes back into the tank and into the fuge?

Well, the return splits and some goes to the fuge then back to the sump, I have a shutoff valve there to adjust the flow to the fuge. I figure if I get a strong enough return pump it could work...just want to know how you guys feel about that before I build it.

thanx.

I don't have enough experience to give you a thumbs up or down, but it sounds like a good idea. I am looking to reconfigure my sump into a fuge soon, so I am anxious to hear what the more experienced will say about your idea...

You're doing the right thing by planning well before implementing anything... this hobby takes knowledge and patience...
