Default Spotted a Mantis Shrimp

Please help me, I have spotted a mantis shrimp this morning on the sand bed of my 65-gal. tank. I had purchased 30lbs. of live rock and added it 10days ago. The thing is brown, shrimp-ey looking and approx. 1-2 in. long. He has really creeped me out. Luckily my tank is still cycling and I have no livestock in it yet. I have read that there are traps that can trap them. Anyone ever use them, and is it recommeded that I remove all the rock and pour hot water over it all to make sure I don't have any more? Won't that kill my live rock? Help.

Marcia

Wrong Place for help with the Mantis?

Don't know if this was the wrong place to ask for help regarding the Mantis, but I wanted to let you know that I was able to track him down to one peice of live rock..I removed that, and luckily have found someone who wants to raise him in thier tank. He turned out to be a mandarin. Well, hey, thanks anyway. I'll try again another time.
