Default Calcium

Question... I'm new to the blog and this may have aleady been answered... My question is, is there an easy way to raise/add calcium without the complicated calcium drip/ kalkwasser drip/ co2... etc.. Im no chemist...

Or do i just have to suck it up, read up on as much as i can and do what has to be done..lol..

You can use a store bought two part additive. One part raises calcium and the second part raises alkalinity.

Reef Chemistry Calculator

This might help you decide how much of what to add in your tank to achieve your desired levels.

Esv Bionic is a popular 2-part calcium additive. I personally alternate between kalkwasser and aragamite by caribsea as my top off. Its not as hard as you think.

Many ways to skin this cat, Calcium is vital to the reef so its a must. Its actually easy as mixing a batch for top up and add to the sump (add slow and it wont cloud)

Kalk is the way to go, if you want to play it safer there is a good product called fiji gold both will raise your cal and alk too desired lvls, I prefer dosing with powder over liquid form.

Raise your levels slowly then normally its a twice a week thing to maintain, I suggest dosing during night cycle.

Kalk is very cheap thats always a plus
