This evening I saw a white puff of smoke?like something come out of a live rock, I have a 29 gallon with lots of rock and sand, about 5 months old, hermits, chaeto and tons of pods , snails, brittle stars, feather and fan dusters, a flat round leaf macro algae, bristle worms spaghetti worms pink sponges ( almost all hitchhikers, either from the rock or the cheato), i just bought my first fish ( a pair of ocellaris clowns ) and am worried there is some creature living in there that may be harmful, anybody have any idea what this is.? The small fish seems fine, but the larger one is bobbing all the time , the fish have been in there 4 days,

I had the same thing happen - it's probably a worm or other critter in your rock - I'm sure others will have a different perspective Check out a thread called Eggs & Sperm...

same thing here, puff comes from clove polyp rock, saltwater really makes no sense..
