| so I have had this Algea problem I thought it was silicates but its not. So I'm starting to think my sediment filter needs to be replaced, if so could this be giving me this problem? I'm also starting to get green hair like Alger growing off some LR will this go away if the filter is the problem and is replaced. And will it hurt the polyps its growing around? |

| All my parameters are ok this is a 90 gal with about 600 watts of pc lights and everything was doing fine up until 3 months ago when the problem started. A ll brand new bulbs in the lights just replaced them withen 2 weeks. PH 8.4 Phos 0 Nitrate 5 Nitrite 0 Cal 440 DKH 11 Dont have alot of extra cash so a little avery week on the snails :_( Just troubled with one of my first big delemas!!!! Skimmer is working great, and I only have been feeding every other day.... Only 3 fish nothing large and some polyps. 1 Gigas clam. A very small clean up crew. TROUBLED |
