Default Algae Problems

I just started up my new JBJ 24 Gallon Nano Cube. I knew I would get alot of algae off the start, but I didnt think it would be this much. All off my live rock is covered in this golden brown algae. I dont know what its called, all I want to know is if it is normal and if it will go away. My tank has only been set up for about 2-3 weeks.

Yes, that is normal. It is just a diatom bloom and will go away shortly. One of the stages that usually happens with any new tank. The algae that you don't want to see are the green ones (primarily the green hair algae).

BTW - Welcome to RB!
