It's possible, but I would not recommend it!

I just picked up coral from a guy near me... He had 3 different pairs of clownfish in his tank and they were all doing fine. Although his tank is a 96 gallon with lots of live rock and tons of hiding spaces.

I read somewhere that percula, clarkii and ocellaris would tolerate each other. Or if they were introduced at the same time or if re-aranged the tank everytime introducing a new pair ???

Default clowns

I read someplace that clowns vary in aggression and some are more so than others. It all depends on the size of your tank and amount of hiding places for them. In my tank there were 3 different types of clowns and they fought constantly till I took them all out and settled for just one black and white false clown.
Good luck in adding different types of clowns.

Default clowns

I was told for years to get a pair of clowns, it was necessary to buy a "mated" pair. It isn't.
Just get 2 small juveniles of the same type. The more dominant clown becomes the female.
I have 3 mated pairs - all 3 obtained as above. I would not have more than 1 mated pair per tank. They get extremely territorial when they start laying eggs.

I think that there might be a good chance of that or at the least alot of harassment. Might not be worth the risk.

I'm reletively new and can't comment on anything other than my experience so here it goes.

After my cycling damsels were removed I added a sebae and a tomato both at the same time. They did some posturing at first and the sebae definately became more dominant. I added 4 green chromis' and the tomato started schooling with them and balance was made. It's soooo cool. When I bought them the LFS owner showed me a display tank that she had a black percula and a tomato that had been together for about 5 years.

All is well now and everyone is getting famously.

I'll keep everyone posted on how they do.

Good luck to all.

Mattie
