Default please educate me on phosphate removal

Hello,
Thanks for stop'n by.

I have a 310 and I'm wanting to add a phos reactor. I don't know much about them though. I saw Kent makes a product called "Maximum Power-Phos" This product will NOT alow the phos to leak out when exhausted.
Does any one know about this? What kind of reacter would I need for my size tank and how much flow will I need through it?
NOTE: I used Julian Sprung's "PhosBan" in a nano once but I didn't like it because the flow was to hard to set and it just melted and leached into the tank. ???
I have been useing the "Poly Filter" but I'm just not getting the phos low enough and cost wise I believe a good reactor would be cheaper in the long run and more efective as well.
Any Ideas?

Lucky

phosphates come from tap water and/or cheap food and cheap carbon. if you use ro/di and quality products you wont need one

Yeah, they can be prevented by quality water (RO/DI as spamreefnew stated), and not overfeeding...making sure to check the foods you feed with don't contain high phosphates.

Look in the ingredients or it should say low or no phosphates on the side
