| Try to syphon some of the out. Also, try to improve the water flow in that area of the tank. You should aim for a 20x turnover rate in your tank.

| To get rid of what you have, some sand sifting/stirring critters would help a great deal; ie, sand sifting goby, hermit crabs, sand sifting star, horshoe crab, cerith snails, nassarius snails, conchs will help also.
