Default Finally a "LFS"

I have finally found a fish store worth going to. It is about 50 miles away so it is not around the corner, but it was beautiful, has over 100 fish(atleast) and more corals than i count. They have a zero edge with a mating pair of black and white clowns and a huge(maybe 300+)display with 4 different tangs, a brittle star that has to be atleast 2 feet wide, and clams ranging from 2 inches to about 2 feet. They have a website.. UNDER THE SEA. It is called Under the Sea fish, and i was actually happy I went. We(me and the GF) picked up 3 new hermits, 3 astrae snails, and a blood red fire shrimp(which is awesome) for 41 dollars, so it was actually cheaper than the internet prices without shipping, i was very pleased. Next weekend we are going to beaver falls, about 40 minutes), because I heard there was a nice one up there too. The new plan is to go to a new store once a weekend until i find one to call my own...lol. I will get pictures of the shrimp tomorrow, he is wicked.

Which end of PA are you in? If you are west of Pittsburg on 70 or up near Erie I can recommend some stores in Ohio that would be a bit of a drive but worth the trip at least once.

I am right between Pittsburgh and Erie. About 30 minutes East of Youngstown. If you need a better idea look here..

Local Interactive Weather Map for West Middlesex, PA (16159) - weather.com

I am the mark right in the middle of the map, and I would love suggestions about where to shop at, i love going to new stores.

Just to the west of Cleveland on Lake Erie is Salty Critter - Saltwater aquarium store in Vermilion Ohio 30 minutes west of Cleveland and north east corner of Columbus is Phishy Business either one is going to be a good trip for you, but they are top of the line stores. If you go basically due west of you till you see Wooster Ohio, im a little southwest of there in Loudonville, by google maps im almost exactly half way between salty and phishy.

I looked at the stores listed and the closest one is 2 hours away, the other one is 3. With those distances it would be cheaper to ship them than to pay for gas to get there...lol. Thank you for trying though, and if anyone else has any ideas let me know, i am always open for suggestions.

Margaritaville is located in Buffalo? So that's where the ice for the margaritas comes from. I can't see Jimmy Buffet wearing Hawaiian shirts in the middle of winter there.

There are a few LFS near me. NONE are any good. One is decent, but they are a bit pricey. I am going to go to another store soon to check it out.....close to 25 minutes away.

The closest fish store to me is 30min drive, they have 7 saltwater tanks, one of which has coral.
The next town over is 45min drive and it has 2 stores, a petland with (1) 75g tank for saltwater, and a store the locals call the critter dungeon because its in such terrible shape(they did have the cutest little occellaris clown last time I was there though, less than half an inch long (Im not kidding)).
Other than those 2 towns then I have to drive an hr or an hr and a half to either of the previously linked stores that I live approximately half way between.

It's all a state of mind!! We party all year long around here. Hawaiian shirts are especially mandatory during the winter.
