Default Mushrooms & buttons

If I wanted to get rid of some mushrooms would I have to cut them from the rock or can they be convinced to leave kinda like a condo anemone? I have about 5 rocks that they have just taken over on. May just remove the rocks alltogether if the get much bigger. Some of them are a good 5" in diameter. They are a brownish color with green stipes, some of they are alot more green than others & some of them are fuzzy mushroom anemones. I have one that is more than a foot in diameter & it must have spawned or something cause there are 8 or so smaller ones.

Anyone need mushrooms? lol

The green striped ones will get you every time...and no, I do not need any. I have a few of my own. The only time I have seen them detach is after they managed to poop another mushroom out. If I see them drifting in the tank before a swap, I remove them.

You can frag them and sell them! Just put an add in the marketplace and people will definately buy them.

but but but...i want clyde to send all his good stuff from alaska to michigan for free...you seem like such a nice guy clyde....i bet you are a wonderful guy that they will one day write stories about....WAS THAT ENOUGH SUCKING UP? i am practically a pro at it, comes with this job!!

i am afraid to frag anymore...after my last mushroom disaster...i cant afford to just take chances and hope they survive.

you know what...you know how in the old days a lil old man would drive around on a cart door to door to sharpen knives and such....i think its high time someone started driving around door to door helping saltwater fish junkies frag stuff....could come in with his ginsu knife and WHOP, CHOP, SMASH the corals into submission.

Well, I've noticed a few of them just sitting in the sand & I think I read here3 saomewhere or online that when they multiply, the just spit out a new shroom from the center? Anyway, I would be more than willing to send you a few fishhead, you would have to pay the shipping.

If you decide to get rid of them, please consider fragging them; at least to your LFS. If you want to keep the rock, you'll need to cut them at the base, then dig out the "root" with an icepick or something. But do try to get them to someone who wants to grow them.

Yeah, I won't just throw them away. I'll try to get a picture up so someone can tell me if they are a desirable shroom or a pest.
Maybe I'll look into how hard it is to get them off & onto smaller pieces of rock & put them in the marketplace.
