what would be no so safe to place a hammer coral by? i currently have xenia, some shrooms, green star polyps and plays. thanks

All corals should have ample room to grow and not be bothered by sweepers and such. I think most agree a 6-8" buffer zone is required. Look up your coral on line and read the requirements as far as water flow and light. Post a pic of your tank I would like to see it.

here is the full tank shots, of just after i got everything together so its still bare.
most of this growth was this way when i got the rock except the xenia which the guy gave me to see how my water quality was and its done nothing but grown and grown.

Hi, your mushrooms are absolutely beautiful! Pretty cool that lfs would "give" you a xenia. I'm in Michigan, no one here gives anything away! You want to wedge the hammer between or in a crevice in the rock. I don't favor super glue in case you have to move it. From looking at your lay out, on the right side just in front of the heater, just below the xenia looks like there is some rock to wedge it id and angle it slightly toward the glass. Keep us posted and more pics!

Not all soft corals and lps will have toxin wars, but some will. I would try to keep the soft corals and lps and sps away from eachother. Possibly opposite sides of the tank.

no sps dont have the light for them yet but maybe in a few years but then a tank just to them. the right side of the tank has way tooo much flow for the hammer right now, its my higher current are.
thanks the shrooms were free attachments to the rock and there is around 10 of then and 2 are splitting.
