 vinyl tubing The tubing from my pump to my hang-on skimmer constantly seems to gain a gunky build up. This causes the water level in the skimmer to drop and it to not work as effectively. I wouldnt mind it this was only occassionally but it seems like its every single day that I need to disconnect everything and clean out the tubing. I think I need to start using some draino. Just kidding. Has any one else had this problem?  |

| Re: vinyl tubing You could try getting new tubing. All of my tubing was plastic and was about 2 dollars, and i have not cleaned the tubes in a month or so, its still skimming like a beast. |

| Re: vinyl tubing If the build up is algea you can prevent it by taping the tubing with black tape.If its just crud,well darn sometimes you are just going to have to clean the tube. |
