Default new jawfish is MIA

I got a jawfish on Tuesday, drip aclimated him, and added him to the tank (he is the only fish, so we didn't quarantine), but once he got in there, he bolted for the rock work, and has been MIA ever since... Its been 5 days since we saw him, should i be worried? I have tried a diffrent food each night to try to get him to come out, i'm worried about him!

Should i be? Any ideas how to get him to come out... i just want to know if he is still alive!?

Yes I would be worried as well, however most jawfish that I have had like to hide. Just to check, what are your tank parameters?

Yeah i am very familiar with the pearly jawfish, and you should and shouldnt worry.they always love to find a perfect hole or they will make themself a hole. But they are also jumpers, but with 2 koralia 4's he might not come out because of the flow, and then death if he dosent come out. They also try to find holes at night.

I have checked the refugium really well, to be sure he didn't get sucked down there... and i have looked ALL around the tank, in case he jumped... but its acrylic, so its pretty well, sealed off....

Ok, Parameters below:
temp: 78.8 deg. F
S.G: 1.025
pH: 8.2
ALK: 3.0 meq/L
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Calcium: 300 mg/L (its low, i know... im trying to get it up...)
Phosphates: 0 ppm

Should i be testing for something else????

=(

You know i had the same issue with my jawfish, i put him in and 2 days later he jsut wasnt there, i have a 65 gal and lots of hidding places, abotu 80lbs of LR. So if hes still in there he could be anywhere but still you tihnk you would see something. The tank is about 8 months old and perameteres, are normal. 0,0, ph about 8.0, cal about 450, temp nvr goes above 82 and about 80 all the time, salin. is about 1.023, so im in the same boat. Corse i have lots of fish in mine, i guess he just wont come out b/c of tht.
