why doesnt anyone have a sand dollar in their tank to help the sand sifting stars?

I don't think I've ever seen one in a LFS. Maybe they are hard to keep or something?

Sand dollars are not known to live very long in reef tanks and they are very poor shippers.What you may find on the beach is there skeleton.Save yourself some time money and grief and dont bother with them.
