Default live sand

Raymond,
I bought my livesand prebagged. from a local dealer. I put in a ratio of one and one half pounds per gallon of tank. I have a high 65 gallon tank, so it covers about two inches on the bottom. Then on the top I put a thin layer of crushed coral and crushed shells (also prebagged). I think the crushed shells help to keep the alkalinity in the aquarium high, and contributes to a higher level of calcium, which I need with inverts and corals. Will you have a local dealer to purchase from or are you going on-line?
Critter crazy,
c-c

I bought my live sand from premium aquatics. I just bought the carib-sea kind. It was the cheapest place that I found it.
