Default my 300 gal setup

I am new to the Reef aqarrium
I have custom built mt 300 gal saltwater aquarium. I have a descent collection of fish. I do not lose any fish but I am having a hard time keeping my corals
My tank has been setup for about 8 months now. I have upgraded lighting to MH placed a Refugium and a Protien Skimmer,
What are the simplest tests that I can monotior and easiest solutions to correct any conditions?

I have many questions and hope you can be of help
Thanks

What are your tank parameters and what kind of lighting do you have? What type of corals are you trying to keep?

What is your phosphate level?

I need to know the exact amounts, instead of the amounts are "good". So i can see why you can't keep corals.
What type of corals have you been trying?

When it comes to corals its best to push at least 4 watts per gallon minimum. For SPS, LPS, and clams you need to push at least 6 watts per gallon minimum. Tank height can also play a factor in this. The deeper the tank the more light it requires to reach the bottom. But the above requirements are substantial for 24" or less.

Yeah -- I would get some salifert test kits and start checking those params. Something gotta be off..

Try to match these params as much as possible.

You don't have enough wattage per gallon. around 4-5 watts per gallon.
