Default Ode to reef keeping

As some of you know from my posts, I am a writer. Here is a little ditty I fashioned for you all. Hope you enjoy!

Ode to reef keeping
Ah, what would life be like without the gurgle of the overflow
Without the beauty of the Halide glow
What would life be like without the soothing hum of the return pump
The skimmer skimming down in the sump
Or, what would it be like to stare at an empty tank
Yes, perhaps more money in the bank
But then we would have no joy of watching our denizens of the deep
And so to that end an aquarium we so proudly keep
The gentle swaying of a Colt or Lamnalia hypnotizes and soothes the senses
This we use as a justification of all the expenses
Yes, yes corals and fish and anemones abound in a display we create
So for all our hard work this does compensate
The warming glow and shimmer from the moon lights upon the rock and sand
Makes me say, this hobby is truly grand!
So, go on, fill your tank with all treasures you can find and possibly fit
For as far as I am concerned, Reef keeping is it!
