I have a Niger Trigger and he seems to be fine in my reef. I feed him well and he leaves everything alone. I have had him for nearly two years now. I have read that they are one of the few that are "Harmless to corals" according to "Marine fishes 500+essential to know aquarium species" by Scott W. Michael. They will eat some crustaceans though. Add the crustaceans first to keep together. Another thing to consider is they can get quite large, up to 19in including tail, so you need a large tank. The same book rates the clown trigger as "not reef suitable" |
