Default Seahorses.....

so if i decide to have seahorses in my soft coral tank, what does that limit me on? Ive read over and over again that i would then build a "Slow Tank". These are mainly what i want; clowns blennys and seahorses. Long horned cow fish are my favorite but i think im going to do a species specific tank for them. Basically, what all are sea horses compatible with? I wouldnt go any further than brown or black simpy becuase theyre my favorite. I do like the orange but thats later..... Sorry, im very much a NOOB so sorry if it is a stupid question

I don't think you can have clowns in a seahorse tank. Sea Horse tanks are usually specifically seahorse only.

Yes and from what I believe you cant have corals in with them as well ,for the fear of the coral stinging the hourses.

Seahorses and ppipefish are very compatible. You can have corals in the tank, you just need to pick corals that would like the same conditions as seahorses. gorgonians for example would be perfect. Also, if you decide to make a seahorse tank, look into a 4-5" DSB and getting seagrass with some gorgonians around in the sand. This very closely esembles the natural habitat of seahorses and pipefish. If I had a larger seagrass tank that a 40g breeder, I would have had seahorses and pipefish.
