Default With Out a Trace

My reef eats fish all sizes gone with out a trace. Every once in while fish just disappear. Gone with no evidence of being in the tank. Occasionally I will dismantle the rock to look but found it pointless. A new addition added yesterday dragon wrasse Little over 2 inches gone. i know they bury themselves so i looked in the sand for him no trace. I purchased 2 cardinals both gone. It puzzles me as to why? This was a while back but 2 fish at one time gone? water quality normal. Short of committing suicide and jumping out of the tank which the way it is set up I am ruling it out because I think I would find them under my stand. Oh, Well! I was just wondering how many of you may have had similar problems with fish vanishing? So far this month 2 fish both Wrasse, one cleaner and one dragon!
