Default FoxFace

I added one of these to my tank a couple days ago. It seems to hide all the time or at least when soneone is in the room. I don't think it's eaten yet either. Is this normal for them? He is about 6" long & in a 125G. The other fish in there are tangs, a few damsels, coral beauty, 1 big ardel clown, 2 manderins but he is by far the biggst.

Fox face...great fish. Mine was skitish and would brown out soon as I entered the room. Algae eaters/love seaweed.
Maybe seaweed on a clip. If the other fish are aggressive try 2 clips on either side of the tank so it might be easier for him to munch on it. Mine preferred green sea weed. Some say the fox isnt reef safe. I had no problems with mine.
My fox ( Brown Bob) was ate buy my carpet nem. May he rest in peace. He was a great fish.

The FoxFace is a very nervous guy who goes pale or dark whenever anxious. After while he will find his confidence. Mine learned to stand up to a clown trigger and undulated trigger only to get killed off by a 6 inch Roundbell Cowfish who stressed out and decided to nuke my tank last year. The foxface was a great guy though he developed a taste for shrimp .

Foxface are my favorite fish and they all act differently when added. Having aggressive fish in the tank could cause them to hide more during the day at first, but it probably comes out some at night and snacks on some algae.

He came out & ate with the group last night. I think he is afraid of my wifes cat. The cat has noticed the new addition & tries to attack though the glass.

Pets and people can often scare new fish, but usually that passes over time. Glad to hear that things seem to be coming around with the Foxface.
