Default Seahorse Gas Bubble Disease

Is anyone aware of any studies on the possibility of ozone or a skimmer causing gas bubble disease in seahorses? I started using ozone in my seahorse tank a few months back and am getting an 80% occurence of GBD.

Jim,
Thank you for the link. I am a member of the Sea Rider site and Syngnathid.com but no replies to my queries on the matter.

Well, the diamox was working, but.... a first grader decided to play with my horses by taking them out of the tank . In their weakened state, plus the fact that the monster had his hands covered with candy filled with all kinds of preservatives, the horses did not survive the ordeal. As the tank is in the waiting room, I had a similar incident two years ago so I built a canopy to prevent a reoccurence, but the monster stacked books up so he could reach in . I think next time I'm gonna put a shark in there and take the canopy off
