Default cleaning outside of tank

i was cleaning the outside of my tank with glass cleaner, is this not good to do because
i heard that amoina in glass cleaner will absorbe into the tank and hurt the inhabitints.
is fish tank glass that poures that it will seep through. can someone please help with this.

I clean my tank with windex, have done this for a long time, I do not spray on the tank, just wet your cleaning rag with the glass cleaner and wipe away. I will also use a soft cloth and just rub down the glass, this will work, if the glass is not to dirty.
