Help, got up one morning to find one of mr cardinals missing i only have three fish at that time: 2- cardinals and 1 - clown fish and some turbo snails three hermit crabs and two Conus snails, please help figure this one out....

Not sure if you have a bunch of live rock in your tank, if so there could be a crab hidden somewhere or a mantis shrimp. Could also be that he's dead and in an inconvient spot behind the live rock. He could have also jumped out of the tank by getting spooked or chased. Sorry wish I could state more of what happened but check around the tank and behind the tank if possible. You might have to move some live rock to get a better sense of what's happening.

I have a goby firefish who hides inside holes my LR all the time for hours

maybe it will emerge sometimewhen it wants

I have the same situation where one of my cardinal disappeared. I know I have a crab hiding in the rock formation. Could it be the crab grabbed the cardinal? One week earlier, my new clown fish died and I saw the crab was holding the dead clown and ate the entire clown. [B]Please help with advice of how to take the crab out of my tank[/b]. Thank you in advance!

have you checked around the tank? i had the same case and i was never able to find it. it may even be in your power filter lol, i had one of mine in there. if the dead fish was still in the water, wouldnt the amonia go up?
