Default Tangs do they eat Macro Algea?

I have a Red Hair like Macro Algea that is on Frogspawn that I purchased. At first I didn't mind it but more and more I am disliking it. I would like to get it off the coral. I am definately going to get a Tang for my tank and was wondering if they eat Macro Algea? Here is a pic of the algea that I am speaking of so perhaps that will help. If anyone recognizes the algea please let me know.

If you know of something else that would touch it please let me know because as of right now my snails and hermits haven't touched it.

Please excuse the look of the frogspawn this shot was taken shortly after it was introduced and doesn't look happy. It looks great now 2 days later.

I had green hair algae on one particular rock and after introducing my yellow tang it was gone in a couple of days. It's hard to tell what type of red algae you have from the pic's, buy I think it's red hair algae (polysiphonia). Algae by julian sprung recommends removal by hand. Surgeonfishes, diadema urchin, hermit crabs, and sea slugs: aplsia and hermaea will eat this algae also. Hope this helps.
