Default Clown fish are healthy again!

I had posted a while back that my pair of true percs had white cotton looking growths around the gils and fins. I quickley picked up a 10g tank and small filter from wallmart and set up a hospital tank. My LFS sold me a anti fungus medicine called Fungus Eliminator by Jungle. I filled up the 10g tank with water from my 65g and then added the fish plus the anti fungus med. It took 4 weeks but they are healed now and are happier than ever to be back in the main tank.

That med tank is now what i have extra cheato growing, I put the carbon filter in the 10g tank to remove most of the med left over.

I just wanted to shair my sucess story and to give a little advise to others who have had ick/fungus problems. Also it's a good idea to quarrinteen every fish for a week or so before adding them to the main tank.

You are commended for taking the hobby seriously. Putting 2 fish in QT and treating with meds for 4 weeks until fish have recouperated puts you above most in the saltwater hobby. My hats off to you!

WOW, thanks everyone! I treat my pets like i would want to be treated. I lost a flame and a regal in the past due to not having a med tank. I got out of the hobby for about 3 years and recentley got back in but now better than ever because I have absorbed so much more information.

Thanks again and good luck to you all with the hobby and with your pets.

Jason
