Default how to get rid of my damsel?

I dont want my 3 stripe damsel anymore, and the lfs wont take it either, so im thinking, i can put it in a little baggy in my hoody and when no one is looking, drop it in the damsel tank at the lfs. how does this sound?

see if anyone wants it here and then just have them pay the shipping. I am sure it would survive the shock and stress of being baggied and then dropped into a new tank but i am sure someone here would take it if they just had to pay the shipping for it. The other idea works too though.

LFS won't take it back??? Only goes to prove my point - damsels shouldn't be sold in the hobby. How about a different lfs? I wouldn't take the chance of trying to sneak it into their damsel tank. Take it out of the tank & put the bag in the freezer.

that is mean!

nope, this is the only lfs that has SW around here.

I think on friday ill go with my master plan (evil laugh)

that is true, very good point! hmmmmm...
i think ill just bring it in a bucket, and when i park, take it out and hold it in my hand till i get to the tank.

Maybe i should just screw with them since they wont take it back and put it in theri nice reef display. LOL!! they will be so puzzled how a damsel got in there.

Not mean. It's one of the best ways to euthanize a fish.

I beg to differ. Hammers win, stoves and I think toilets do aswell, but they are all very "mean". Go with the lfs idea.

lol...hammers? I read in a book somewhere that if you really like a fish, and dont want it to suffer with some uncurable disease, but get a knife and cut its head off.

but the lfs idea, at least the poor guy has a chance.

I would be willing to bet that hammers are indeed one of the best fish euthanasia devices on the market!

Yeah, but squishy fishy mess, eewww. I like the idea of returning the fish to the lfs... It's not stealing, the only "crime" I can think of off the top of my head would be vandalism, and that's a misdemeanor here - If you get caught just tell them that your fishy told you he wanted to be returned to his family, after days and nights of hearing his pleas, you had to bring him back so the voice would stop...

no one want to pay shipping for this fish who is actually fairly large.

don't release it is one of the biggest problems in the world. look at caulerpa in california, africanised bees in the americas, bull frogs in puertorico, goats in australia, cats in isla de mona, you could ruin a whole ecosystem with that little act of goodness. if i was you i would just keep it for cycling my next tank or give it to some one just starting in the hobby but if you chose euthanasia do it with boiling water it will go in shock instantly but it is still cruel for me. next time chose your fish wisely and this won't happen again.

lol, im not gonna realease it inot the wild. Im gonna release it into my lfs tanks. and as for cycling, its not good to cycle with fish because it is mean to the fish. and i did do my research, but my damsel developed a taste for cleaner shrimp for some reason.

Lesson:
Make sure you are going to want the fish forever before you buy it! This is way too much trouble over a damsel!

he is currently with a lionfish, and now htey are best friends! they sleep in the same cave!

basically, they are all in a 30 right now, tranferred from my 55.

my friend is going to buy the purple pseudo, antenatta lion, mithrix crab, sally lightfoot crab, and al lthe snails/crabs, and 2 urchins. all for 35$....what a deal!

I will be throwing out the cc/sand that is in there, and smashing up the LR to make into LR rubble.

I will be selling my 30 to my friend to make a terrarium in, and i have a 20g Long that i will put in its place and make into a frag tank for shrooms and polyps.
