Default New Naso Tang Not Eatting!

I just added a new Naso tang to my tank on Wednesday Night. I cant seem to get him to eat though. Tried Mysis shrimp, Veggie Flakes, Algae sheet, adding garlic to the food. Still not taking anything. He has acted interested a few times but backs off at the last minute. He is still shy around the other fish, but getting better. Any ideas that might entice him to eat. How long can he go without eatting before problems start. Thanks.

sometimes it takes a wile for the fishes to eat i wouldn't worry to much about it. try using a natruall food like some macro algea like culpra or something like that if you have it in your tank already he is most likly eating that intead of your handouts

I figured he might be slow to eat. I am a little worried he is stressed due to my flame angel giving him a little trouble. Not too bad, but he's a little territorial. I noticed he has been pecking around on the rocks a little. Not much he could be getting off of them where hes pecking around. His stomach is getting a little thinner now. Trying to keep a close eye on everything though. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the suggestion on the garlic extreme. I had some garlic guard. But never tried the garlic extreme. Got some today. I took some Chaetomorpha algae dipped in this and he started eatting away. I think he is starting to act a little more active now.

Good news thanks for the update! Naso Tangs are my Favorite of the Tangs. It's best to start these fish as your first tang, if there are other tangs it seems to be an issue introducing them to system. I had one Naso have heart attack and die when introduced really strange fish.
