Default Multiple Tangs

A 100 gallon or larger aquarium is necessary to provide plenty of swimming room. It is aggressive towards its own species, or Tangs in general, and it is best to keep only one per tank. If more than one tang is to be kept, introduce simultaneously.
-I got that from Aquarium Fish: Tropical Freshwater Fish and Saltwater Fish for Home Aquariums..

Has anyone tried to fit multiple tangs is a 100 gallon tank. I was just curious because these are my favorite type of fish and would like more than 1. Thanks

I would suggest directing questions regarding multiple Tangs to our moderator JVharding.

Last time I knew he had 5 Tangs doing nicely in a 75gal.

I dont see peace and harmony lasting long in that tank but JV has been doing this for years so I think we need to hear how he does this.

How many Tangs per tank is always an interesting discussion.

I would HIGHLY suggest not adding 5 tangs to a 75, its just not right.

Tangs should be kept in 6 foot tanks.

1 tang in a 75, yeah thats ok for a short time until it grows, 5 is just to many IMO, they are sloppy eaters and create a lot of waste which in return fouls water quality.
