Default Pincushion urchin Keeps going to Mushroom?

Ok, I am sure that this is not good but could anyone tell me why(hopefully not eating it) my pincushion urchin keeps going over to my soft corals 1 mushroom group and a colt.
I hope that he is not trying to eat it, but if he is, is there anything I can do about it?

Is there any algae in the tank for him to graze on?

do you have alot of coraline algae (pink/purple stuff all over the rocks/glass) ?

The pincushion loves to graze on the coraline..

What about your water parameters?

hungry urchin

Angie,
I had a pencil urchin (similar in habits to your pincushion?) in my 65 reef tank for about a week, until one morning, I found him with a pulsating xenia in his "beek". He had ripped it entirely from the rock and appeared to be eating it. So I plucked the coral from his mouth and removed him to my fish only tank where he is happly moving aorund grazing on the live rock. The xenia was replaced back on the rock again and did amazingly survive the ordeal. I didn't know any urchins were totally reef safe.
