Default Fire goby

Well after 2 week in isolation i have added a fire goby to my 12g. now it has a true perc. clown, cleaner shrimp, 2 mex. turbo snails, and a scarlet legged hermit crab and the goby.

that is the most i want in it. i think that will be best. i've added 1 thing every 1 to 2 weeks after 6 weeks of stress zyme and emptyness. Slow and steady, lol. i have 10 pounds of lr on the way!! Its taken a long time but will be worth it. I payed $48 for lr and ship. Thank you for all the help. my tank thanks you too. happy holidays.

I would love all the thoughts you have on the Goby. I know they jump
my tanks an eclipse hood and closes great, so i'm not worried about that part.

The firefish is a very nice specimen to have in any tank...only one though.

I figured. I'm glad I read lots now. plus it's a 12g and i don't want the same fish, I would have less room, lol. I might put 1 more in in there in 2 or 3 weeks. Some thing small and peacefull. any ideas?

I would say that you should stop at 2. Gobies are peaceful, but that perc might start acting like a perc and get territorial. Ask a clown how much of that 12 gallons he considers to be his and he will reply that all of it is his. They can get super aggressive. You don't want to lose fish due to stress and aggression.

I'm watching him. in feb. i will be putting them in the 20 so that should help. that's the last fish for that tank. trumpet snails are hard worker and our cleaner shrimp that rlcline76 sug. has molted 4 times and is getting rather large. our tank is slowly coming together and look like some thing now.

I got 1 thing every week or other week. It worked money wise (I might write a reef builders for the broke thread lol) and they say the slower the bio load is increased the less chance of thing going wrong.

I'm giving the 55 g tax refund tank to the puffers, they need the room or will need anyway,
then I'll have a extra 10g and 20g. I'll move the goby' perc, shrimp and crab and snails to the 20g. It's the most established tank. I can turn the 10g into the sump for the 20.
I think a 20G would be better for me right now and it's enough room if u get the right fish and the rest of the $$ can go to supplies for the year.

my husband works for a glass co. and its just wrong to buy a sump.
He needs to make the tank there no reason to pay so much when he get a discount too. I don't think he thinks he can. I'm going to try to get his friend to do it.
I can show him how because of our DIY section.

My friend got a camera for xmas and just took a load of pic. for me. she will uplaed them at work monday. my tanks might as well be empty compared to the others

ya, I'm gonna wait till I move them to the 20g. I'm keeping an eye out for aggres. thanks for keeping an eye out for me, lol.

When i was at the lfs they had either a goby or blenny. It was sandy salt and pepper in color. he kept filling his mouth with sand and i fell through the gills in his neck. do u know what it was and can i get 1 when i move them?
