I am guessing that this is still due to the fact that he's only been in the dt for a week, but he ate so well in qt and now only picks at the algae in the tank. Occasionally I'll catch him eating some mysis or reef plankton. AND, I've been adding garlic to his foods and let it soak in it for 30mins before feeding. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! He's not starving, yet, I hope to keep it from getting to that point, he's my favorite fish! My nitrates go between 20-40 and am working on getting them lower but not too suddenly as to shock my fish.

Thanks!

P.S. I have a half black angel, sorry forgot to mention that!

The nitrates are high but your fish sounds fine. I have had Coral Beauties for ever and they are my favorite. They love algae and as long as it's eating it is fine.

You definitely need a water change! Your nitrates are way too high. It will affect the health of your fishes, and they will exhibit poor eating habits and lethargic behavior.

Angelfish are omnivores and love to feed off the live rock. Hopefully you have plenty of it. How long have you had your tank up? The more established the LR the better off they are.
