Default Blue Damsel

So my blue damsel keeps picking at live rock and has even started to pick at my hermits. Pick as in like nibbing them. Is this a sign he is hungry? Every time he sees something interesting in the water he eats it and spits it out. I do not want to overfeed them. I feed them everyday a small amount switching off from flake and frozen foods. Anyone got advice?

The blue "devil" is just that from my experience. Pesky little guys. He is just being him. They love to pester that is why I stick to the green chromis. Most all other Damsels are quite territorial and pesky.

I had a blue damsel that did the same thing. It would try to eat any little speck in the water. I feed mine everyday too. I don't think there hungry. I just think its there natural instinct to see something that looks like food and eat it.

I HAD a damsel that nipped at my $75 bubble coral. I removed the damsel after that. Please consider removing the damsel.

Ditto on every comment above. I started out with damsels including a gorgeous blue devil in my first tank. They were juveniles that turned into delinquents killing almost all of my inverts. The only thing they didn't bother were my leather corals.

IMHO, they belong in a FOWLR/Aggressive tank.

Agreed. I just spent yesterday tearing done my rock to get rid of my blue damsel and my 3 stripe damsel. They were great for cycling but they were little SOB's (the striped one especially). When they tore the eye from my new 6 lined wrasse they had to go. Simple economics. When your $3 fish are killing your $20 fish, well the choice was easy. Sent them back to the fish store.
