Default snowflake eels...

anybody have any info on snowflake eels??? I have a new 30 gal tank, been running @ 4 months now with live rock/sand and inverts, have had trouble with adding fish to the tank (only seem to last 2 wks) came home and found my bf had purchased 2 snowflake eels for the tank!!! they've been doing well now for about 2 wks (lets see if they make it lol) but my question is can you keep 2 eels in the tank safely??? They're eating well and havent bothered any of the inverts...

They shoudn't be a problem till they get bigger. They WILL eat shrimp, crabs, and slow fish. If they can get it in there mouth they will eat it. Snowflake eels are not as bad as some other moray eels. Black edge eels on the other hand will kill all your fish, I found out the hard way.

Default Snowflake

I had a snowflake for over a year. He got big. But one night he decided to jump out of my tank and I found him the next day. So make sure you cover any openings in the tank. I also think 30 gallons might be on the small side for two snowflake eels. In my opinion, snowflake eels are the best morays to keep because of thier hardiness and smaller size.
