Default Multiple Wrasse's?

I have a 40g with about 40 lbs of live rock. It has a clown, a coral beauty, and a 6 line wrasse. My wife says "We need something yellow". Since it is too small for a tang, would a yellow wrasse fight with the 6 line?

Well, in mho, two factors would discourage me from adding another wrasse. 1. the six line will beat it senseless as soon as you put it in there, 2. the tank is probably too small and they'd constantly fight over territory.

I do know that the fairy wrasses are good in a group of three or four in a large tank (75gal +) but, from what I've heard about six lines, I wouldn't put it past the little guy to either beat up or constantly pick on the other one.

I'd look for a fish that's larger than the six line that's the color you'd like. Maybe this angel would be a nice fit, depending on what else you have.

It seems everyone says they will fight. If you put another wrasse in it should be fine. I have a 6 line and a Solar Fairy Wrasse and they get along fine. They even swim together sometimes...

Well, I got the yellow wrasse. Actually the sixline is my most mellow fish. I have the sixline, the yellow wrasse, a false perc clown, a coral beauty angel, and a neon cleaner goby in a 40g. The sixline is the smallest (other than the goby, which hardly counts) and the least aggressive of the bunch. I'm done with fish in this tank. Just need a couple more corals and I can call it a day (oh and start on the 150g my wife doesn't know I am planning yet ).
