Icon8 Bangaii Cardinal Under Attack!

Last weekend we bought 3 Bangaiis and have had them all in QT for the past week. As expected two formed a pair within just a coupe days and the third has become an outkast. I feel terrible for him, because he tries to approach the other two and is then chased off back into a corner of the tank.

Last night I noticed that he was breathing heavy, and it looks like his pectoral fins have been "ripped" (they are frayed). I presume the other Banggaiis have nipped at him. I was actually surprised that he made it through the night.

Any suggestions?

I would put the pair of bangaii's in another tank or dt asap. Leave the outcast in the qt and let it heal up. Use some stresszyme to heal it's wounds and add some vitamins/garlic extract to its food.

I have a breeding pair and they are very elegant fish.

Maybe you can trade the outcast to your lfs or put it on craigslist.
