We love our goby too. He has built a nice house for himself. I think it even has a basement. He comes out in the mornings and covers the door at night. Gonna have to buy more sand so he can build a condo for himself.

Ahhh, well said Gary. You're always right. My ornate goby is become the same way; digging and digging. I did not know that all gobies had a little engineer goby in 'em. I won't get any more.

That is so true !!!

I had a diamond goby in my new tank, but I think he went MIA.

No rocks for him to tumble though, I dids my rock from the glass up, then added the sand...

I would like to get a diamond goby in the future, what grain size of sand are you guys using for them? I cant find anything telling me which they prefer. I am debating between the .2 to 1.22mm stuff and the 1 to 1.7mm sand. Any suggestions about which way i should go?

I just got my second one yesterday. My first one jumped out. The smaller the grain the better. I have .1-1.0 sand. Its a lot easier for him. The LFS has 2.0 mm sand and he still shuffles through it but doesnt seem as easy.
