you lucky people with huge tanks make me sick!!!! i want a huge tank too!!!!! the thought of being able to have many fish with tons of activity makes me crazy!!

nice tank. is it loud? its so big, do the fans create alot of noise or does the huge wood canopy muffle the noise?

I just got one last week. I only have a 40 g but when I saw these little blues that were only 3/4" I had to have it and I figured it would give me the rationale to start my 150 g that I'm looking to do this spring. Mine is a cute little guy but your's looks fantastic.

I think this is one of the only hobbies where going overboard is good!

Thanks guys.

I have been working on my 150 gallon for a couple of years now. It was not as pretty as the new one so what I did was take all the live rock, sand, fish, some of the old water and some new and condensed it in the 95 and WOW. It pops!!!

So now I have taken the 150 gallon and moved it into the dining room . My office is off of the dining room as well, so you can see it from both rooms & right when you walk in the front door. It has been cycling for a few weeks, and eventually will be a kick a$@ aggressive tank. With Lion fish, puffers, ect... (That is what I started with back in the day).

The best part...my wonderful husband found the new tank for me. The tank, cabinet, wet/dry filter, rotating return pumps, metal halides, super actinic VHO's and lots of little goodies for $450.00. I still so dang excited!!!

The hard part now is starting over with the 150gallon. Good thing we saved so much $$$ on the tank, we will need it for live rock

Here are a few more pics:

RUBY THE FLAME ANGEL
DORI THE HIPPO TANG
CRAIG THE URCHIN
AND ROSEY THE ROSE BUBBLE TIP ANENOME.

Thanks for sharing with me,
Jessi

I just started the new 300 a few days ago - all the plumbing is through the wall into the garage, but the overflows sound like a tub draining... For the first few days I'd come downstairs and think "Damn the toilet is running again!!"

Thanks!

He is an Orange Linka Star...they say he's difficult, but so far so good! Just very careful during water changes.

I'm waiting to pick up LS and more LR, once I get the rockscaping done I'll post pics... As for fish - easy, beginner (wont die on me!!) peaceful to start with!! I have 3 chromis in a QT, I think a pair of Bangaii cardinals are next, then??? I have to get a pair of clowns, but that has to wait till the tank is ready for an anenome..

Wow Jessi!
That tank looks amazing! So jealous! I had to turn in my flame angel was such a great fish but he started nipping and killing corals so he had to go. Catching him was a.... hmm lets just say very, very hard, even with half the water out of the tank. Tank is back to its happy self now and Xenia is growing back it's "hands".

Glad to see that the tang is doing well. The rock work looks incredible! Since setting up the tank I have learned so much I can see how consolidating would work so well. I finally cleared out my office so I have been thinking about a nano tank but at the same time I was thinking of a non-reef ie FOWLR tank for angels or puffers too. Especially since having to give up the flame angel.

We'll have to come over and check out the new tank in person it just looks so great. Keep up the good work, I am trying to get some things posted look for them tomorrow.

Cheers,
E
