Default clown tang

I have a Clown Tang that is approx 2in long. My plan is to keep it for a few more inches and either trade it or sell it. My tank is a 40 gal 8mos established. I have approx 30lbs live rock, 1 Maroon Clown, 1 BTA, 1 Six-line Wrasse, 1 Damsel, 1 Cleaner Shrimp, 3 Turbos, 2 Doves. I have read on one hand that Clown Tangs can be difficult to raise. However, a different site lists them almost as hardy as a Kole Tang. I would appreciate some feedback from someone that has or had one.
