| What filter or filters would recommend, blueface for a snowflake eel??? |
| ||||
| When i kept snowflake eel it was in a fish only system which was heavily skimmed using an aquamedic turbofloter 5000 twin, did most of the organics, but also had three trickle pipes which also worked really well. In a reef tank (which im new to im trying to have as much good quality live rock as i can practically fit in the tank coupled by a good skimmer and water flow...hoping that would be my only filtration. |

| I have a snowflake eel in my 55 gal tank. It mostly hides in the rocks and pokes his head out. I have probably 8-10 hermit crabs in there as well as many snails. Also, a yellow tang, black clown fish and a coral beauty. There are also some torch coral and anemones that the eel doesn't even aknowledge. The eel never seems to bother anything except when he gets excited by food, then he only sniffs at the other fish in case they are food. So far I have not had any problems with the snowflake eel, though a good lid is highly recommended. |
