| My blood shrimp has only shedded once as far I know. The remains were taken care of within a day....presumably by my CUC. However, I would take them out if you have a smaller tank.

| If you have a bubble coral you can feed the shedded exoskeleton to it and it should eat it. When I had them they always did. If your shrimp shed a lot you may want to test your iodine levels as chances are they may be on the high side.

| I thought these guys would not shed if water conditions were out of wack, I understood that it was a good sign to have them shed.(correct me if i am wrong) |

| A lot of times, shrimp will shed after a water change. It's thought to be a result of an increase in the iodine levels. My shrimp usually shed after a water change (every 4-6 weeks) and occasionally when I add trace elements. I leave the shells there and in about 24-48 hours they're gone. |
