Default Nipping Flame Angel .. HELP!!

i have three small frags of Xiena and about 2 weeks ago one of them closed and has not opened it could be from something else but the other two are doing fine and just recently i have noticed my flame angel nipping on them every time he is near the rock but its just one nip so i guess they get nipped at least twice a day or sometimes when i see not at all .... is this a big deal or not cuz after he nips it opens up again (that polyp) so is a big deal can i leave everything the way it is with them still surviving .. like can they live like this?

Angels are curious, playful fish. He could just be investigating or playing. they're a lil tricky too you can have them together for months and the angel will pay no mind and then one day wake up and your xenia's gone.

I had a small xenia frag and lost it about a month and a half ago i don't know what happened but i suspect it was my blue angel. it had about 8-10 heads on it, when i woke up, it only had 2 and they just died off.

Depends what kind of xenia it is,but they are usually pretty vigourous growers, unless they are getting eatan. So i would try to hide them if you can a little bit.Overfeeding isnt going to stop him from nipping. With flames you take a 50/50 chance that they will or wont pick at corals. After all it is an angel. And what i meant by which xenia it is because they tend to pick long tentacle brown xenia.

I've been lucky with Dwarf Angels. I had a 75 w/softies, a Flame, an Eibl's and a Bicolor. All got along and never picked at the softies. I now have a 90 with a Flame, LPS, SPS and Softies. The Flame occasionally picks at the base of my Lobophyllia but leaves everything else alone. It does like to pick off the LR. I don't remember where I read it, but in my research, one author suggested that many dwarf angels don't eat the polyp, but graze on the mucus on the coral. Debris and microorganisms actually stick on the mucus and form a food source (I guess for the polyp as well as the angel),

Yes it will be fine increase the water flow to the Xenia, the Flame shouldn't eat it.
