Not really, I stir the surface just a lil bit right before i do my water changes and I do have about 15 hermits and a horshoe. also my clown fans the sand w/ his tail all day long.

The sand is amazingly clean right down to the bottom. How long has the tank been set up?

The tank looks relitively new there is nothing building up in the sand just yet. I would not stir up the sand in the tank your just releasing stuff you dont want in the water... I used to do the same thing.

The tank is only 6 months old, fairly new. I just stir a lil bit, basically just fan the sand to get the bigger particles suspended so when i do my water change they get sucked out.

you have to have a certain number of posts to customize your avatar.

Great looking fish! Beware that the puffer is likely to outgrow that tank...and he will eat coral.
