Thanks for the support! And you have guessed it, I did wedding photos for 15 years, and studio potraits for another 6! I have always loved photography and the tank is a real challenge.

The tank is having its problems. I have lost 3 fish in the last week and I don't know what to. They eat well, readings are fine, I see them at night and the next morning they are dead. Have to love a challenge!
thanks again
Kathy

Thank you! No I use a pentax digital SLR with a flash. It really is fun to try and get it without a reflection. I will be posting some new pics tonight.

OK, since I last posted pics I have crashed my old computer and have a new one to try and destroy. It took me a week to get files changed around and to get new pictures. Here are some of the newest additions.

This is my new elegance coral. I really love the way it looks when it is opened and happy.

This is the little seabae that the clownfish barely fit in a few months ago. Now is takes up a huge chunk of the bottom. The last is a picture of the new clown settleing in for the night.

Here is a new shot of the candy cane coral. There seems to be a hole in the one piece and it looks like a worm or something is coming out of it??? any ideas anyone?

More pics coming

So here are a few more pictures.

This is my new daisy polyp. I really love the way it opens up in the morning. My granddaughter came in when she first saw it and wanted to know how I planted flowers in my fish tank. It looks to have some sponges on it so I will wait and see what happens there.

My new flame scallop is a real treat. We never know where we are going to find it in the morning.

This coral I picked up just yesterday. I enjoy watching it open and close. It is really interesting to see how one minute it can look like leather and the next be covered with fine little hairs.

My newest purchase will be next!

Here are a few items that have "shown up" in the tank.

I think this is a conch, but I am not sure. It is only about 1/4 of a inch in length and has vanished for the last day or two. It was around on the glass for 3 days and I really miss seeing it.

There seem to be several of these in the tank. One has only 4 legs and this one has all six. I only catch them early in the morning under the LED lights. Once the other lights come on they are gone!

This is my newest arrival. This blue lobster is a blast to watch. With the feelers, I am not sure of the proper name for them, as big as they are I can find him where ever he goes. He is about 2inches long and is just a blast to watch shoot around the tank.

The bubble coral has grown so fast since I got it that I am thinking I may have to move it soon. Above it my pulsing coral is going rock climbing. First he climbs down then back up again. He has split once and looks like he is ready to do it again.

And this is what the tank looks like tonight. I have a huge piece of branch rock curing outside in a garbage can. It has another week to go and then I will be adding it to the big tank and taking some of the other live rock from it to fill up my nano tank!

Hope you enjoy!

I agree Mario! Definately something I will use for inspiration. I love the lobster by the way! I am starting to really like the purple lobster, which is fairly similar to the blue lobster that you have. Do you have any troubles with it?

Kathy that is an amazing tank...I hope my tank looks that good when I finally get the funds to get it done right.....I do have one question for you though...were did you get your LR from. I was originally going to buy from wholesale aquatics then I though about tamba something or other than I found another one called...well I forgot but I did bookmark it. Did you use multiple sources or did you just buy in bulk from one dealer.

Hey Kathy! Awesome tank! Thank you for sharing it with us, enjoyed seeing it grow!

The snail you have a pic of is probably a nassarius snail; you won't see them hardly at all because they live in the sand! So, he's probably in your crushed coral but I'm not sure if they do that substrate or strictly sand...

Nah i dont think hes having any issues with it, exept it may have eaten a small anemone here, snaked on a tang, droped some corals, nothing to major probably
