I seen an octopus and pointed it out to the dive instructor. we swam to it and I started touching it and it climed up my arm wraped all the way around for about 2 min. this thing was on my!! It was one of the coolest thing i have ever seed or done i though i would share some of the pics from the dive with everyone here at reef builders! Sorry no pics of the octopus i was so exited i didnt take any.. Last edited by Kevin W; 05-09-2007 at 05:27 PM. |

| Great pics Kevin. I would like to recommend something to you though. If you are going get into diving. I would take a course at home where you live. I have seen those diving classes on the islands even took one once because I forgot my card (only way I could rent my equipment). They do not teach all the things needed to learn to dive safely. Diving a is a wonderful sport filled with adventure and mystery, but can be very dangerious if the rules are not applied properly or a situation is entered where one has a problem and starts to panic.Diving is like Reefing, it takes time and patience to learn. You can learn it all in two 2 hour classes. |

| Congratulations! Thanks for sharing the pictures. You got some really great shots. I wish I had enough guts to learn how to scuba dive. Where are you going for you next vacation? |

| Negril Jamaica in dec. should be fun staying at a sandales resort that has scuba tours cant wait!! |
| ||||
| through sandals resort. I think you have to be staying there to take there scuba class. if you search the net for other outside places to get certified there might be something for you. The people in st Lucia are great super nice you don't have to worry about the locals there at any outside venue. |

| I got certified here in CA - it takes several weekends and several dives to be certified. And lots of dives to get proficient. Diving is such a great experience - I haven't been in a long time even though I have my own gear - just haven't made time, After seeing your pictures I'm going to make some time |

| even tho the reef wasn't the best for color and diversity i loved it and will defiantly go scuba diving again |
| ||||
| Did you wear a wetsuit or just a swim suit with gear? |
| ||||
| just swam with the gear and some swim trunks! |
| ||||
| i am also very jealous. I DEFINATELY should have taken the dive course that was located near me when i had the chance! the only reason i didnt take the course was because to get my own gear, it is so expensive, and lets face it, NJ water isnt the cleanest of all waters.
