Icon5 Question: Is my Starburst Polyp Ok?

I am new to the saltwater experience. Over the weekend, I first stocked my tank and my tank started to cycle again (I used aged water from mmy local satly-store, and it was set up with some damsels for about a week). So my NO2 spiked and I lost all but one of my fish. My yellow watchman was the only fish to make it.
So now I have a starburst that has not came back out since I put it in place on a rock. They were blooming, thats the best way i can describe it, when I first set the plug/starburst in the sand. But when I moved them they have not came back out and it has been about 24 hours or so. I have some button polyps and a mushroom that seem to be doing fine.
Do you think something may be wrong? Could the nitrite levels be effecting it?

You need to find another LFS or never trust that one again. Useing fish isnt needed for a cycle and a cycle takes 4 to 8 weeks depending on your setup.
You need to get water test kits so you know whats happing in there.

How long did you cycle your tank before adding the coral? What are your water parameters?

I cycled 6 weeks then added a few CUC then waited a week or so and added a fish then waited and added a coral and a few more CUC.Slow and easy. Many coral like more mature water conditions but coral put little load on your system. THen feeding fish helps feed coral.

your star polyps should come out tomorrow. everytime you move them or change them from tanks, they wont come out for up to 2 days, they will be fine.
